Welcome

Hello Everyone,

Welcome to the 'Social Media and Media Literacy' blog.  I've set this little blog up to share and store the resources I'll be showing you today.  I hope you find it both helpful and interesting.

Over a hundred years ago, the Canadian Pacific Railway was built, making links that would change Canada forever.  Canadians began to see time and distance in a whole new light.  With this new technology came new expressions such as 'railroaded' and 'wrong side of the track'.  Just as the railway shaped Canada so many years ago, technology and the internet are changing the way we teach and learn today.  We have 'blogs' and 'podcasts' and phrases like 'just Google it'.  Time and distance are of little consequence in today's fast paced world.  As educators and parents, we are the 'conductors'.  We are there to help students stay 'on the right track'.  Buckle up, here we go!
